Against Adversity

This piece was created as a reminder of the hardships we faced during the pandemic. Driftwood for this sculpture was collected from West Aberthaw beach in South Wales. The seaweed root reminded me of a tree on a windswept ridge. I crafted the little figure from wire and clothed it in autumn leaves and a tiny cap made from a sessile oak acorn cupule.
